I am a 23 year veteran of local church staff ministry.  I am an adjunct professor of Youth Ministry at Bethany Bible College.  I have corporate experience as a program coordinator in the medical field and am certified as a Project Manager (CAPM).

This is not my personal blog. I have one but this isn’t it.  This is my ministry blog.  It is focused on two aspects of servanthood: “personal productivity as a missional Christian” and “professional productivity in staff ministry.”  My philosophy is that if you are going to serve well in life as well as in staff ministry, you must have a servant’s heart and be purposeful about it.

I write on church staff ministry, productivity, personal growth, and, on occasion, stuff that doesn’t fit neatly into one of these categories.  I also occasionally write about totally random stuff that moves off of center.

My goal is to create insightful, relevant content that you can put to work in your personal and professional life. If you are in a position of leadership in staff ministry or you’re a senior pastor, then this blog is for you.

My postings on this blog are limited to 3-4 per month.  To make sure you don’t miss my newest posts, you can subscribe via RSS, Twitter or Facebook.  Better yet, join the uprising to subscribe by email.

MY BIOGRAPHY

I have worked in local church staff ministry for 23 years. I have had the privilege of working in smaller growing churches in staff ministry juggling several hats at once.  I’ve also worked in larger churches with multiple staff and departments.  I have made it my goal to understand in depth local church staff ministry from as many aspects and scenarios as possible.

I have had the opportunity to work as a project coordinator in a major hospital initiating and coordinating a new process of collaborative intensive case management tracking and taking care of the needs of under-insured and uninsured frequent users of the mental health system.  I coordinated management among multiple agencies, both state run and private over two counties.

I have been married to my wife, Lisa for thirty years and counting. We have one daughter, Shelby, a sophomore at Trinity Western University. We live in Greeley, Colorado, home of the Greeley 4th of July Stampede.

In my free time, I enjoy writing, teaching, learning the process of blogging and online marketing, playing euchre, backpacking and four-wheeling in my Jeep. We attend Christ Community Church in Greeley, CO, where I currently serve on the leadership team and as a barista at Zoë’s Cafe.
